Education and Experience: I have been in the mental health field for nearly 10 years while earning my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University, CACREP approved. My coursework and experiences have prepared to work with a wide-range of clients of any age. I make every effort to create a stress free, non-judgmental, and positive environment for all clients. I work towards building a trusting and respectful relationship where clients feel comfortable to share their feelings and stories.
Therapeutic Approaches: Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Parent Management Training (PMT), and currently being trained to utilize Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). My therapeutic approach varies depending on the client’s needs. I strive to help people in every way possible, in and out of a work environment. I have a minor in Education, allowing me to spend my spare time in tutoring and teaching Sunday school.
