Michael received a master’s degree in Counseling from Lincoln University. He currently holds an LAC, with a diverse background including family counseling, individual counseling, and group counseling. Michael has worked in hospital settings, private and public organizations and substance use clinics. Michael currently works with children, adolescents, adults and families who are experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship or familial conflict. Michael has a concentration in substance use disorder.
Michael utilizes the following therapeutic theories: Person Centered therapy acknowledging each client is the expert of their life; CBT to assist clients in realizing the relation between thoughts and behaviors; Motivational interviewing when working with substance use; and Family Systems therapy to inform family of dynamics and interactions.
